It was with a little bit of fear that I opened the curtains on Saturday 7th September as the forecast had promised a pretty rubbish day!  However, it didn’t look too bad apart from a few dark clouds lingering.  So, out came the ladders and we set to work decorating the terrace with bunting ready for Gemma’s arrival.

By the time Gemma and her bridal party had finished with hair and make up the sun was beaming.  The morning seemed to fly by and before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to take place.  Gemma was ready and raring to go so James didn’t have too much of a wait for her to meet him to say their vows.

The ceremony was followed by Pimms & pasties on the terrace.  The big umbrellas provided perfect shelter as the one shower of the day passed overhead!  Photos were then taken on the Headland behind the Hotel, perfect scenery looking up towards the lighthouse.  The Bride & Groom then disappeared off to the beach for a few more snaps.  Photos on the day were taken by Stewart Girvan Photography  Certainly looking forward to seeing some more pictures soon.

Guests were treated to a cream tea along with a quiz about the happy couple with the prize being a luxury Cornish hamper.  The stunning wedding cake was made and decorated by the Bride herself, we can certainly see a future career path emerging there!   Evening entertainment was provided by Small Wonder who got everyone up on the dance floor playing all the favourites.
